
How to get there
The International Airport is Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International (NBO), GMT+3. Hammerkop Migration Camp can be reached by road or flying into Musiara airstrip (Masai Mara).
Musiara airstrip is just under 15 minutes away from the camp. There are daily scheduled flights from Samburu, Lamu, Malindi, Mombasa, Diani, and Wilson Airport, Nairobi.
The flight time from Nairobi is about 45 minutes. The Camp is about 300 km distance from Nairobi and it will take you about six hours depending on the weather and the road conditions to reach it.

Health & Safety
All travelers to East Africa are required to have Yellow Fever inoculations. This needs to be done at least 10 days before you leave home. We recommend that you take the necessary precautions and take advice from your personal doctor.
Hammerkop Migration Camp is not fenced and therefore wild animals may wander through the camp, especially at night. Under no circumstances must you approach or disturb these animals, as they are wild animals. Please do not leave the camp vicinity on foot, do not veer off designated footpaths and do not wander around at night unless you are accompanied by a guard.

Child Policy
Children are welcome at Hammerkop Migration Camp.
Children below 3 years old sharing with Parents in one tent are free of charge. Special rates for children up to 12 years will apply if they share a tent with 2 adults.
